Based on a homemade simpler, sweeter version that was a personal staple after long group cycling rides in young adulthood, Chris moved on to one fragrant with citrus as well as the original almond & anise. Glad to say he’s also shifted to home brew from instant “international” coffee long ago.
Ingredients: Flour, sugar, almonds, butter, egg, candied citrus peel (iyokan), baking powder, anise seeds, vanilla extract, almond extract, salt
